This blog contains my memoir and essay writing with a focus on the trials and tribulations associated with caring for someone suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia.
Both my mother and father were diagnosed; one year apart.
I learned to be compassionate and patient and ultimately open my eyes and heart to a situation I had little control over.
In essence, I learned how to love someone when they can’t love you back.
In many ways, this isn’t really my story, it’s theirs.
